Countryside Park

Near the intersection of US 6 North and US Route 20, Countryside Park is located next to the Park District's Administrative Office in the County Office Complex. It may be accessed off Fifth St. or Castalia St (S.R.412). A paved parking area is located next to the Park Office.
Shelter Rental: $40 Sandusky County residents, $50 non-residents, includes 10 tables, will accomodate up to approx. 60 people. When not reserved, shelter is on a first come, first serve basis. No electricity or running water. Portable toilet on site May through October.
Description & History: This facility has been leased from the county since Jan. 1985 and is managed by the Park District. The area includes grassy space for play, tables, grills, and a gazebo. The paved walking path is approx. 1000 ft. and is ideal for walkers, strollers, wheelchairs. Use of skateboards, and in-line skates is discouraged because the path is commonly used by nursing home residents. The shelter was constructed by the Park District. Funding assistance for Park Development came from Countryside Continuing Care Center.
