This 160 acre propery was acquired by donation from The Nature Conservancy and a federal Land & Water Conservation Fund grant. Unique natural features such as a calcareous fen, seasonal wetlands, grassy trails, and a mile of boardwalk trail made of recycled plastic lumber, made possible with a grant from OSS Joint Solid Waste District and ODNR NatureWorks Program.  Blue Heron Reserve is also included in the Lake Erie Birding Trail.  Developed by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources: Division of Wildlife and the Ohio Sea Grant at Ohio State University, this guide is a compilation of 88 lesser known birding locaitons along Ohio's Lake Erie Coast from Ashtabula to Toledo.  Guides are available at ohioseagrant.osu.edu/publications or from the Ohio Sea Grant office at 614-292-8971.

Clyde on County Road 260 at U.S. Route 6. Gravel parking area located on County Road 260.
