2024 School Program Brochure

Get your students out of the classroom and learning during a full-day field trip experience.

Sandusky County Park District offers exciting, quality, hands-on learning experiences for science and history. All programs meet Ohio's Learning Standards. Staff is also available to come to your classroom. All programs are FREE OF CHARGE to Sandusky County schools.

We suggest scheduling your field trip at least six weeks in advance.  Our most popular months are September, October, April and May.  These months typically fill early!
  • Programs are conducted at Creek Bend Farm: Wilson Nature Center group size is limited to 75 students.
  • Field trip arrival time is 9:45am with departure at 1:30 pm. This includes a break for lunch.
  • Select up to three programs.  Each program is 60 minutes long.
  • Contact person: includes name, school address, phone number and email address
    • Preferred date and a few back up dates
    • Grade and number of students
    • Program(s) being requested
    • Are special arrangements needed?
               (i.e. mobility, behavioral, allergies)
  • There are no fees, unless designated for materials (i.e. apples) for Sandusky County schools or groups.  Out-of-county schools or groups should inquire about fees.
  • If you are interested in a topic and you do not see it, let us know and we will try our best to meet your needs.
  • All programs align to the grade level indicators of the Ohio Academic Content Standards.
  • To provide the best learning experience, students will be divided into 3 groups.  As a result schools will need to have a MINIMUM of one teacher or adult with EACH group.
