Description & History: The purchase of the property was made possible in 2002 by a generous donation from the Robert and Frances Roush Family and a grant from the Ohio Public Works Commission’s Clean Ohio Conservation Fund and Ohio Department of Natural Resources Coastal Restoration Grant Program. The property, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was the home of Fran Roush and Bob Roush, former Sandusky County Commissioner.
The Park District is developing a 1930’s-1950’s era farm park. Trails are open daily for hiking. The house and barns are open only during scheduled programs.
(NEW in 2013) Reserve a Shelter: The area known as the "Loafing Shed" (behind the large barn) is available for rent - $40 Sandusky County residents, $50 non-residents, 10 tables, serving approximately 60-80 people. At this time there is no electricity, no water, no grills. There is a portable toilet.
